Application
Admission of International Students
Foreign nationals may apply for admission to undergraduate and graduate programs at our university. International students who wish to study at the associate or bachelor's degree level may apply for enrollment at our university based on the results of the TR-YÖS (Türkiye International Student Admission Examination) administered by ÖSYM. Those who wish to pursue graduate studies must apply directly to the relevant graduate school of our university.
Applicants must have graduated from a high school or an equivalent vocational school, and their diplomas must be officially recognized by the Ministry of National Education (Milli Eğitim Bakanlığı).
Additionally, international students admitted to programs where the language of instruction is Turkish will begin their studies depending on the results of the Turkish Proficiency and Placement Exam.
Students who are admitted to a Turkish-medium associate, undergraduate, or graduate program must obtain at least a B2 level Turkish proficiency certificate from the Mersin University Turkish Language Teaching Application and Research Center (MEÜ TUAM) in order to start their education. For detailed information, please contact MEÜ TUAM.
Students who are placed into a Turkish-medium undergraduate program and have completed all of their secondary education in a high school affiliated with the Ministry of National Education are exempt from submitting a Turkish proficiency certificate.
Likewise, students who are admitted to a Turkish-medium graduate program and have completed a Turkish-medium undergraduate or graduate program are also exempt from submitting a Turkish proficiency certificate.
