A "Cooperation Protocol on Residence Permit Applications for International Students" was signed between the Council of Higher Education (YÖK) and the Directorate General of Migration Management of the Ministry of Interior on November 15, 2023, to update visa and residence permit processes for international students.
In this context, EXCEPT FOR international students who registered before November 29, 2023, and whose education was interrupted due to residence violations despite their ongoing student status, international students will be able to apply for visa/residence permits.

Application Process

For residence permit applications, students must prepare the required documents listed below in a proper file format and submit them to the International Student Affairs Branch Directorate of the Student Affairs Department. The residence permit application documents are provided in four languages, as listed below.
