Turkish Proficiency
Turkish Language Proficiency
Students are required to prove their Turkish language proficiency with a certificate obtained from the Yunus Emre Institute, a Turkish language education certificate issued by the Embassies of the Republic of Türkiye, or a certificate provided by the Turkish Teaching Centres affiliated with Turkish universities.
Applicants who have completed their entire secondary education (4 years) at Turkish high schools affiliated with the Ministry of National Education are considered to have sufficient Turkish proficiency.
- a) Students whose Turkish level is sufficient (C1 or C2) may start their studies immediately
- b) Students whose Turkish level will become sufficient in a short time (B2) may begin their studies but must raise their Turkish proficiency to a sufficient level (C1 or C2) within two years.
Students who fail to achieve sufficient Turkish language proficiency will be dismissed from the university.
